What We Collect
We collect personal information that you or your home services contractor provide to us, and information we obtain with your authorization from third parties, in connection with a financing request, including:
- Name, phone number, email address, and home address
- Job details (service type and quoted amount)
- Financial information you provide as part of a loan application (such as income and employment information)
- Identity verification information, including a government-issued ID and related details, used to confirm your identity
- Credit and consumer report information obtained from consumer reporting agencies
- Bank account information obtained through our bank connectivity provider, Plaid, when you choose to connect a financial account (such as account and routing details, account balances, and transaction information)
Connecting Your Bank Account (Plaid)
To verify your bank account and support your financing, we use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to your financial institution. When you connect an account, you provide your credentials directly to Plaid, and Plaid provides us with the account information you authorize, such as account and routing details, balances, and transaction history. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials.
Plaid handles your information in accordance with its own End User Privacy Policy. By using SuprFi to connect a financial account, you acknowledge and agree that your information will be collected, used, and shared by Plaid in accordance with Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and evaluate loan applications, including verifying your identity and assessing your ability to repay
- Verify your bank account and set up and process payments, including ACH debits you authorize
- Communicate with you about your financing options via SMS and email
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Improve our services
SMS Communications
When a home services contractor submits a financing request on your behalf, or when you provide your phone number through our website, you may receive SMS messages from SuprFi related to your financing options. These messages may include:
- Monthly payment options
- Application links
- Status updates
- Follow-up reminders
Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message.
How We Protect Your Information
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure storage of financial information
- Access controls limiting who can view your data
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information for marketing purposes. We may share your information with:
- Service providers who help us operate our business, including providers of bank account connectivity (Plaid), identity verification, consumer and credit reporting, payment processing, electronic signature, and SMS and email communications
- Parties in connection with a sale, assignment, or transfer of your loan, or a corporate transaction involving our business
- Other parties as required by law or regulation, or in response to lawful requests
- Other parties as necessary to process, fund, and service your loan application
Where we share information with service providers, they are permitted to use it only to perform services on our behalf.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (including recordkeeping requirements applicable to consumer lending), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@suprfi.com. Certain rights may be limited where we are required to retain information to comply with legal obligations.
